This BCS title matchup will be announced officially Sunday evening when the rest of the other 34 bowls get announced.

The winner of the SEC Saturday night will be playing Notre Dame, so we technically already can discuss on which team is the tougher matchup for the Golden Domers.

Vegas and 90% of America seemingly are picking the Crimson Tide since they have been the most dominant team in the recent BCS era.

Plus, that Nick Saban guy has won three BCS titles and two in the last four years with Alabama and he is the most feared man in the game.

He prepares and plays to flawless perfection every weekend, there is always room for improvement if you are a fan in Tuscaloosa.

They are listed as TD favorites over the SEC East champions, but both teams stand as dominating 11-1 teams.

Georgia had a devastating and embarrassing early season loss in Columbia to South Carolina for the third straight season (in terms of at least losing to SC).

Alabama lost at home to a Texas A&M team that we thought had zero chance of pulling off the upset if you were to ask us during the preseason.

Johnny Manziel has baffled a ton of people, but still these two teams are just 60 minutes of regulation from appearing in the BCS title to once again represent the Southeastern Conference.

The gauntlet and difficult it is to just appear in Atlanta for the SEC title may be one of the toughest accomplishments in all of sports, but these two juggernauts will lay the smackdown on each other that is could become the greatest SEC title game ever.

The East is currently 11-9 in these SEC title game, and a team like Georgia has only appeared in this game five times.

In the East only Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina (save UGA) have appeared in the title game whereas the West has seen the likes of Mississippi State, Auburn, LSU and Arkansas get a crack at the title.

Regardless of who ends up winning this game ultimately, many Notre Dame haters would love to cheer for the team that they believe has the better chance of dethroning the Irish for the first time all season.

Of course the SEC is looking for a seventh straight title, and either team will be favored to do just that.

Alabama was listed as 9.5-point favorites (some have lowered that to 7 points) whereas Georgia is just a 3-point favorite over ND if they were to play on a neutral field. In fact, Texas A&M, LSU and Florida would all be favored over the Irish as well.

The Irish would love nothing more than to be counted out since it has been the case for them all season long, but the question still needs to be answered: Georgia or Alabama?

Both defenses are elite and despite UGA ranking outside the top 10 in both total and scoring defense, they are as talented as anybody thanks to the likes of Bacarri Rambo, Shawn Williams, Alec Ogletree, John Jenkings, Kwame Geathers, Sanders Commings and Jarvis Jones.

These freaks (and the list continues with Amarlo Herrera, Garrison Smith, Michael Gilliard, Christian Robinson, Damian Swann, Jordan Jenkins, Branden Smith, Cornelius Washington, Ray Drew, Chase Vasser, Kosta Vavlas) are arguably more talented than the dudes in Tuscaloosa.

That in itself may seem sinful with Kirby Smart and Nick Saban competing for BCS title every year whereas the ‘Dawgs have simply trying to consistently win double digit victories instead.

The biggest and true difference between these teams would be the potent passing attacks or lak thereof. Alabama may have a star signal-caller in A.J. McCarron that has won all the big games, but his youngsters have struggled miserably at times to get open this year.

They rank just No. 77 in the nation, averaging only 218.83 yards per game. UGA is No. 35 averaging 273.58 per game and it is thanks to the veteran speedsters in Malcolm Mitchell and Tavarres King.

Both have game-breaking ability that should prove to be the difference, and it let be known that Aaron Murray is sick and tired of hearing how his team has gone just 3-8 against ranked teams during his career as a starter.

There have been NFL rumors swirling that he will be headed off to the NFL Draft with the recent miserable production from current signal-callers, and the final decision will come down to how he performs in his final two games.

Before we get to a potential BCS title game for a quarterback that has faced a ton of adversity, he must get by mighty Alabama in a game that we have seen him look abysmal.

The adversity has been absurd (father was diagnosed with cancer, and his house got egged after a brutal 35-7 loss to SC where he was erratic at best), but this is an elite performer that is ready to take America by surprise.

Georgia may be listed as underdogs despite playing in their own state, but in reality they have as great of a shot to pull it off because quite frankly they are that talented.

The bigger nightmare matchup for the Golden Domers would be facing the men from Athens (especially due to their quicker defense and more potent passing attack), and they will be craving success once kickoff sets in at 5:10 p.m. (eastern) on Saturday evening.

Time: 5:10 p.m. Eastern

Network: CBS

Experts Pick: Alabama by 7.5

Danny V’s Stat of Day: Since SEC Title game started in 1992, only twice has it been decided by three points or less (1994, 1997)
