Kenyan Drake Shows What It’s Like To Be Injured Star Watching From Home

Ever wonder what it’s like for an injured standout college football player to anxiously watch his team battle to keep its championship aspirations alive from the confides of his home?

Alabama running back Kenyan Drake, who broke his leg on Oct. 4 against Ole Miss (see injury GIF below), provided his 52,000+ Twitter followers with some insight during the Tide’s hard-fought 14-13 win over Arkansas.

The explosive multi-dimensional threat rushed for 11 yards and four scores on 22 carries (5.1 YPC) and racked up four receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns through the first four games of his junior campaign. He added another 10-yard reception before going down in agonizing pain in the hard-fought loss at Ole Miss.

“Kenyan’s doing really, really well,” head coach Nick Saban said last week, via AL.com. “I think he’s got a really positive attitude about it. He said he’s taking it one day at a time. He’s working his rehab and doing really well.”
